I am a powerful and iconic big cat, known for my striking orange coat with bold black stripes and a white underside. I am one of the largest wild cats in the world, and I play an important role as a top predator, helping to keep herbivore populations in balance.

- I have a unique stripe pattern, just like a human fingerprint. No two tigers look exactly the same!
- My roar can be heard up to 2–3 kilometres away in the wild, letting others know I am near.
- I am a strong swimmer and often cool off or stalk my prey in water.
- In a single night, I can travel more than 20 km while patrolling my territory.
- Even though I am big and powerful, I face serious threats from habitat loss and poaching in the wild.

I live in tropical and subtropical forests, mangrove swamps, grasslands, and wetlands of the Indian subcontinent, including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Visitor guidelines
Please keep a safe distance from my enclosure and do not try to touch or feed me. Sudden movements, shouting, or tapping on the glass can stress me, so speak quietly and move calmly. Flash photography is discouraged. Always follow the instructions of the zoo staff, and never throw any objects or food into my enclosure.
